Christmas in Hintertux

by Hotel Neuhintertux

The bells of waiting Advent ring

Yesterday the time had come: Although we have been surrounded by chocolate Santa Clauses, gingerbread cookies, cinnamon stars and Christmas decorations for weeks, yesterday, on the First Sunday of Advent, the most contemplative time of the year was officially heralded. A time that is celebrated warmly and devotedly all around. Home-made handicrafts such as hand-carved nativity figures, tealight holders made of metal or colored glass and bell-like sounds during Advent singing inspire everywhere. All that and much more could be found yesterday, for example, on the village square in Tux-Lanersbach at the official opening of the annual Tux Advent. Of course, the arrival of St. Nicholas and the legendary Krampus with their original wooden larvae were not to be missed. An event that creates enthusiasm every year. Everyone who should have missed this traditional event can look forward to the upcoming events in the Tuxertal. We want to briefly introduce you to the most beautiful events during the Advent and also give you a little insight into our customs at the Hotel Neuhintertux.

Look forward to an Advent program in the Tuxertal for young and old.

On December 4th, from 9 p.m., the „Teufellauf“ in Hintertux will take place with delicious mulled wine. A week later, on December 12th, the mountain Advent at the Tux Center in Tux-Lanersbach - a contemplative Advent concert with the well-known ORF Radio Tirol spokesman Peter Kostner, who will guide you through the program with poems and beautiful words – will delight you. And for even more Christmas sounds, the LMS Zillertal - Expositur Tux invites you to the Christmas concert on December 17th, also in the Tux-Center.

Christmas at the Hotel Neuhintertux

You are probably wondering how we are going to prepare for the holidays at the Hotel Neuhintertux. Well, the Christmas decorations throughout the hotel are already a tradition. We even have several fir trees in colorful decorations - in the fireplace lounge and in all dining rooms, a decorated Christmas tree will create an enchanting Christmas atmosphere. We are particurlarly looking forward to the contemplative Christmas party with our guests on December 24th from 6:30 p.m. The entire Tipotsch family has as always prepared a little something for this day. After the aperitif the evening starts with the song "Silent Night, Holy Night", a reading and contemplative poems and thoughts about the Christmas time. Then we conclude the evening with a festive Christmas fondue and a little surprise.

The festivities continue in the following period. After all, New Year's Eve is not long in coming. We ring the mood for New Year´s Eve with a festive menu, a DJ and a magician before we finally greet the New Year with the Danube Waltz and the joint New Year fireworks of the Hintertux village community.
