The Hintertux Glacier is Austria's only all-year-round ski area and delights skiers all year round with perfectly groomed, snow-sure natural snow runs of all levels of difficulty. One of the most popular attractions - besides the pleasure of skiing on the glacier itself - is the Nature´s Ice Palace. Whether it's a boat trip, photo tour, stand up paddling, ice swimming or kayak session - this unique natural jewel has a lot to offer all year round in addition to its interesting history.
From July to September, guests can also learn more extraordinary facts about the Hintertux Glacier and the effect and distribution of the ice on earth during the guided glacier hike. In addition, the Glacier Bug Park and the Glacier Bug Safari keep excite children and young people before the fun continues in winter off the slopes in the Bug Park, the Funslope or the Kidsslope in Hintertux.
By the way, the highest freestyle spot in Austria is the Betterpark in Hintertux. From April to the beginning of June and from mid-September to December the snowpark is a popular meeting point for all riders and therefore "the place to be" especially in spring and autumn.
Another natural monument besides the Nature´s Ice Palace is the Spannagelhöhle on the Hintertux glacier. It is the highest show cave in Europe and our guests can look forward to worthwhile guided tours and cave trekking from mid-October to the end of May.
